Trying to shed a little light on theĀ downpipe hook up to the exhaust. The three inch downpipes come off the turbos and dump to the traditional exit for the headers. There we mate the custom fabricated off road mid pipes which we have then mated to the Kook’s Afterburner 3″ exhaust cat back.
Here it is leaving the turbo on the driver’s side. You can see down through the frame rails to the point the down pipe exits in the same location traditional headers did.
Here is the down pipe leaving the passenger side Turbo. Gets a little tight with spark plugs where the exhaust manifold and down pipe get close to each other.
Here they are coming out at the bottom and tying to the Mids. We had to do some fabrication to ensure the fit. The V-Band flanges are the only way to go.
